Follow the Yellow Brick Road: The Life & Legacy of Leonard Knight.
An art and history exhibit dedicated to Leonard Knight, a man whose strength in his beliefs led him to create one of the most iconic folk artworks in all of the United States; Salvation Mountain, located in Niland, California. This exhibit will include a visual timeline of Leonard’s life and the creation of Salvation Mountain, several artworks originally part of the Salvation Mountain site, painted panels from Leonard’s countless painted vehicles, historic artifacts that celebrate his accomplishments and artistic abilities, historic and contemporary literature, digital media pieces, music, and more! A family friendly exhibit for all ages, Follow the Yellow Brick Road is an exciting opportunity to learn about this iconic artist and longtime member of the Imperial Valley community.
Exhibit Opening & Celebration- Friday, February 6, 2026 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
